Vicente Garcia Naranjo, a 39-year-old Latino, died of gunshot wounds on Thursday, March 12, 2009, in the 11800 block of Prarie Avenue in Hawthorne, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.
Naranjo was at his business, G & D Smog Check, when the gang-related shooting happened, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department records.
Naranjo suffered several wounds to his torso and his wrists, as well as cuts to his head, officials said.
