Victor Nabor Garcia, 43
Victor Nabor Garcia, a 43-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Wednesday, Sept. 16, in the 10900 block of South Spring Street in Broadway-Manchester, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Shortly before 7:30 p.m., Garcia was working on a car behind a home when he began talking to a man in a vehicle, said Los Angeles Police Det. Nathan Kouri.
There was a short conversation, then the person in the other vehicle shot him. It's unknown whether the person got out of the vehicle.
Garcia was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:50 p.m., according to coroner's records.
