Vincent Paul Ramos, 31
Vincent Ramos, a 31-year-old Latino, died Friday, April 30, several hours after he was shot at Pacific Avenue and 6th Street in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Long Beach police officers responded to a call of shots fired Thursday about 10:15 p.m., according to a police news release.
When officers arrived, they found Ramos on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his upper body.
He was taken by paramedics to a hospital where he died Saturday at 1:39 a.m., according to coroner's records.
Investigators believe the incident was a walk-up shooting, although the motive remains unknown.
The incident is being investigated as possibly gang-related, police said.
