West Covina man sentenced in killing of wife
Tomas Rodriguez Infante, 62, was sentenced July 8 to state prison for the 2013 killing of his wife, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Mike Camacho sentenced Infante to 25 years to life in prison for the murder of Charito Vega Tolentino. He also ordered Infante to pay $11,716.43 in restitution as well as $5,000 to the Victim-Witness Assistance Program.
Last month, a jury found Infante guilty of killing his wife and leaving her body in the trunk of her car.
Tolentino, 57, was found Jan. 13, 2013, in her abandoned red Toyota RAV4 in the parking lot of the Hawaiian Gardens Casino in the 11800 block of Carson Street. She had been stabbed and beaten to death.
