William Phillip Carey, a 34-year-old black male, died Sunday, Sept. 26, after being shot in Green Meadows, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

This was my brother I was one of the females that was shot and almost lost my life as well this day. I believe one of the guys that was a shooter this day is still around, one of the other guys that was supposed to have been shooting this day is know longer alive he got killed maybe not even a year after my brothers death as I still had to learn how to walk all over. The police had him and let him go do to not enough of evidence or not enough witness cooperation. I would have rather this guy have spent the rest of his life in jail then to be deceased. Now I have to watch my brother kids grow up fatherless its still a sad situation I don't care how you look at it. I tried doing a a story but didn't know the right people my life has changed tremendously. My brother was not perfect but he was a good guy that took care of a lot of people and he didn't deserve to die.
