Wilson Laki Edwards, 20

Wilson Edwards, a 20-year-old Pacific Islander man, was fatally shot Wednesday, Nov. 23, in the 5600 block of Elm Avenue in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired about 8:40 p.m., according to a Long Beach Police Department news release.

When police arrived, they found Edwards' body on the sidewalk. Paramedics were called and he was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said. According to coroner's records, Edwards died from a gunshot wound to the head.

Investigators believe that Edwards was walking down the street when he was shot.

Officials have not made an arrest in connection with the killing. The shooting is believed to be gang-related.
