Alfredo Ojeda, 18
Alfredo Ojeda, 18, a Latino young man, was struck multiple times by gunfire at the intersection of Avenue 51 and Stratford Road in Highland Park and died at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18.
He was shot during some kind of argument or confrontation in the 5100 block of Stratford Road at about 7 p.m., said LAPD Northeast Division Det. P.J. Morris. Police got a call about a shooting in progress. Friends took Ojeda in a private car to seek medical care, but he died. It was unclear with whom he had been arguing.
