Ana Artiga, 27, a Latina woman, was shot multiple times through the head at 501 E. 23rd Street in South-Central Los Angeles at about 4 p.m., and died at 5:37 p.m. Sunday, May 27. She was standing in front of a market when this drive-by occurred. Police had a record that indicated she belonged to a local gang. She died at California Hospital.

Update: LAPD Newton Dets. Tommy Thompson and Dan Gersna have cleared this case. Two suspects, both Latino young men with documented gang membership, have been arrested and charged with murder.
