Anthony Isaac Gryskiewicz, a 30-year-old white man, was shot and killed Thursday, May 29, in the 1700 block of Sierra View Avenue in Lancaster, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 11:30 p.m., Gryskiewicz was in a compact car parked at the curb when two black men approached and one person fired, said Lt. Holly Francisco.

Gryskiewicz sped away in the car and crashed into a cinder block wall, Francisco said.

The two black men ran away in an unknown direction, Francisco said.

Gryskiewicz, of Modesto, was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:50 p.m., said Ed Winter, a coroner’s spokesman.
