Casandra Jacobo, a 17-year-old Latina, was shot and killed Tuesday, March 16, on the northeast corner of Glenroy and Olive streets in Pomona, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Jacobo and a teenage boy were walking home about 11 p.m., when they were confronted by two men, said Sgt. Robert Baker of the Pomona Police Department.

The men asked Casandra and her companion if they had a gang affiliation, Baker said. When the pair said they did not, one of the men pulled out a handgun and started shooting.

The teenage boy ran away and was unhurt, but Jacobo was hit and died at the scene, Baker said.

Let me explain it to you Frank. There are cowards walking around Pomona with fire-arms doing what others, who don't even live in Pomona, tell them to do. They're ignorant, apparently, to the fact that when they MURDER someone, they are also killing themselves, and taking a little piece of their families to hell with them.

I say this, because whether a person is on the receiving end of the bullet or the dispensing end of the gun, once a life is lost the door to hell opens for all involved.

The families lose love-ones and the shooter(s) get to relive what they did over and over in their nightmares.

I hope this madness ends with the residents of Pomona speaking out loud to law enforcement about the under-belly of the city. We're going to have to bring in outside law enforcement to stop this.
