Christian Noe Gomez, 17

Christian Gomez, identified by the coroner's office as a 17-year-old white man, was shot and killed Monday, Nov. 7, in the 400 block of West Anaheim Street in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Long Beach police responded to a report of shots fired about 7:14 p.m. They found Gomez, of Wilmington, with a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Gomez was apparently standing near an apartment complex when an unknown suspect fired multiple shots at him, police said. Investigators believe the shooting may be gang-related, but they have not released any information about a suspect.
