David Rivera, 18

David Rivera, an 18-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Jan. 21, 2014, near the intersection of La Brea Avenue and Hyde Park Boulevard in Inglewood, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Around 4:01 p.m., Inglewood police responded to a radio call of a shooting victim in the area and found Rivera with several gunshot wounds to the chest, according to a police department news release.

Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics transported Rivera to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:38 p.m.

According to witness statements, Rivera was approached from behind by a single male suspect who fired multiple times before fleeing on foot.
