DeWayne Parham Jr. (2016-07-31)

DeWayne Parham Jr., a 42-year-old black man, was fatally shot Sunday, July 31, 2016, in the 6200 block of Harvard Boulevard in the Harvard Park neighborhood, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 5:30 p.m., Parham was standing with other people in the area when a person walked up and shot him, said LAPD Det. Chris Barling.No one else was injured.

Parham was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police are trying to determine a motive in the killing. Parham was not a documented gang member, Barling said.
