Gisela Margarete Hohensee, 83
Gisela Margarete Hohensee, an 83-year-old white woman, was fatally shot Monday, July 22, in the 11800 block of Floral Drive in Whittier, according to L.A. County coroner’s records.
Whittier police officers arrived at an apartment about 10 a.m. and found Hohensee and her husband fatally wounded, said Brad White, the community relations officer for the department.
Hohensee was pronounced dead at the apartment at 10:42 a.m., according to coroner’s records.
Police suspect that Hohensee’s husband may have shot her, then turned the gun on himself. White said that Hohensee’s husband had medical problems and did not want to live anymore. He said Hohensee did not want to live without her husband.
The investigation is ongoing, White said.
