Glen Jeffrey Ramos Chico, 31

Glen Jeffrey Ramos Chico, a 31-year-old Filipino, died on Friday, Feb. 23, after he was shot on the Anaheim Street onramp to the southbound 710 freeway in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Long Beach police officers were called to the scene about 12:41 a.m. regarding a small white car that may have been involved in an accident, according to a news release from the police department. 

When officers arrived, they found the car stopped on ivy along the ramp and Chico sitting unresponsive inside the car with a gunshot wound to the upper torso, according to the release. 

Chico was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:58 a.m., according to coroner’s records. The cause of death was listed as a gunshot wound to the chest. 

It appeared Chico was driving the car when he was shot, according to coroner’s records, and he drove off the road at a slow speed.
