Joaquin Hinojos, 20

Joaquin Hinojos, a 20-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Sunday, Sept. 7, in the 2700 block of 110th Street in Lynwood, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Hinojos was standing with two other people on the sidewalk about 12:50 p.m. when a light-colored sedan pulled up, according to a news release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. A person got out of the four-door car and shot at all three men.

Hinojos was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:16 p.m., said Ed Winter, assistant chief of investigations for the coroner’s office.

The other men, who are in their early 20s, were also taken to a hospital and are expected to survive.
