Joseph Bush Jr., 36

Joseph Bush Jr., a 36-year-old black man, was shot and killed Monday, Nov. 17, in the 4600 block of South Vermont Avenue in Vermont Square, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Shortly after 7 p.m., Bush was standing in front of a liquor store with a 27-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man when two black men walked up and fired multiple rounds, striking all three, said LAPD Det. Chris Barling.

The shooters fled on foot, Barling said.

Bush was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 7:28 p.m., said Ed Winter, assistant chief of investigations for the coroner’s office. The other two people injured are expected to survive.
