Juan Ricardo Garcia, 25

Juan Ricardo Garcia, a 25-year-old Latino, died Sunday, Sept. 11, in the 100 block of East 12th Street in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 3:40 a.m., Long Beach police received a call about an assault near the intersection of Locust Avenue and East 12th Street, according to a news release. 

Upon arriving, officers found Garcia lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to the chest. He was later pronounced dead at 3:49 a.m. at the scene, according to coroner’s records.
