Juan Miguel Sanchez, 20

Juan Sanchez, a 20-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Sunday, March 7, in the 1200 block of East 68th Street in Florence-Firestone, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Sanchez was attending a backyard party about 2 a.m. when he got involved in an argument which escalated to a fight with an unknown suspect, said Det. Louis Aguilera of the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau. As Sanchez attempted to leave the party, the suspect fired  into the crowd and shot Sanchez in the head. No one else was hit. He was taken to St. Francis Medical Center, where he died at about 3:15 a.m., Aguilera said.

Although there were witnesses to the killing, no one has come forward with the assailant's name.
