Keon Dontrell Collins, 38

Keon Dontrell Collins, a 38-year-old black man, was shot and killed Sunday, March 30, in the 1700 block of North Las Palmas Avenue in Hollywood, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Shortly before 2 a.m., officers responded to a call of a shooting and arrived to find Collins on the ground in the street near a black Dodge Charger, according to a news release from the Los Angeles Police Department.

Collins was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:39 a.m., said Ed Winter, a coroner’s spokesman.

An autopsy showed that Collins died of a gunshot wound. Police are looking for three to four black males who fled the scene in a black four-door sedan southbound on Las Palmas Avenue.
