Kevin Johan Baquedano, 19
Kevin Baquedano, a 19-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Sunday, Feb. 5, in the 8700 block of Guthrie Avenue in Mid-City, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 5:15 p.m., Baquedano and a 23-year-old man were standing on a sidewalk when a person walked up and began shooting, said Los Angeles Police Det. Sean Kinchla.
Baquedano and the other man were taken to a hospital, where Baquedano was pronounced dead. The other man is expected to survive.
