Leonides Yama, 20

Leonides Yama, a 20-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Monday, April 5, in the 200 block of East 61st Street in Florence, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Yama was riding his bike about 10:45 p.m. when he was approached by someone and shot.

The victim was taken to California Medical Center where he died at 11:29 p.m., Winter said.

I miss you so much you're an uncle of 2 little boys. I make sure I let RJ know about his uncle Leo, he's 3 years old now. Your newest nephew is 2 months old. His name is Nikolai Leonides. :) I can picture you playing with them and I know they'd love you so much. I know it's been so many years but I still miss you. I love you with all my heart. RJ is wild, he reminds me of you. He looks like you too, well he's pale and has hazel eye's so you if you had those two features hahaha. Nikolai has the most beautiful blue eyes. Last year Robert's mom passed away from Cancer. I know you never met my husband but I truly wish you had. I guess mom found a letter you sent me while we talked and it brought back so many emotions, i read it 6years after your death for the first time, it felt like you were here i couldnt wait to write back but i realized you aren't here.
