Virgil Bartlett, 52
Virgil Bartlett, a 52-year-old black man, died Sunday, Nov. 9, in Hancock Park, according to the Los Angeles County coroner.
Bartlett, described as a transient in coroner's records, was found dead on the sidewalk at Melrose Ave. and Vine St.
Officials have not been able to determine what caused Bartlett's death. Although it was initially listed as the homicide of an unidentified man, a final determination in the case is now deferred, said Craig Harvey, chief coroner's investigator.
