Montreal Lavonte Brown, 45

Montreal Lavonte Brown, a 45-year-old black man, was shot and killed Monday, Nov. 20, in the 400 block of West 109th Place in Vermont Vista, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 9:45 p.m., Brown was standing in front of a home when a vehicle drove by, going east, and a person inside fired shots, injuring Brown and two others, including a 2-year-old girl who was grazed by a bullet, said Los Angeles Police Det. Nathan Kouri.

Brown was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:29 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

Detectives are trying to determine a vehicle description.
