Quentel Shontay Gordon, 24

Quentel Shontay Gordon, a 24-year-old black man, was shot and killed Wednesday, March 12, near East 95th Street and Hickory Street in Watts, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Gordon was shot about 9:05 p.m. when a dark-colored sedan drove up to where he was standing, said LAPD Det. Rick Gordon.

Police are unsure whether the someone fired shots from the car or if a person got out of the car and fired, Rick Gordon said.

Gordon was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9:54 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
