Reward offered in double shotgun killing of Norwalk father and son

Authorities are hoping a $20,000 reward will help identify those responsible for killing a father and son in their Norwalk home on July 14, 2015.

Walter Vicente, 49, and his son, Andrew Vicente, 24, were each shot with a shotgun in separate rooms in the 12300 block of Gettysburg Drive, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lt. Dave Coleman said.

The elder Vicente owned his own plumbing company, Coleman said. His son worked with him, and the two had been planning to expand the business.

The two men loved to play the guitar and sing, Coleman said, and Walter Vicente was a U.S. Army veteran who served from 1990 to 1994.

The reward is being offered by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and the city of Norwalk for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

Anyone with information should call Homicide Bureau Sgt. Tim Cain or Det. Michael Caouette at (323) 890-5500. Those wishing to remain anonymous should call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
