Tecia Yolanda Robinson, a 41-year-old black woman, was shot and killed July 27 in the 2200 block of Eucalyptus Avenue in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 4:30 p.m., officers were called to a home in the area regarding an assault with a deadly weapon, according to a news release from the department.

When officers arrived, they learned that Robinson was in the home with her step-father and her mother when the step-father allegedly pulled out a weapon and began shooting at them.

The mother ran out of the home and called 911 and Robinson remained in the home. Officers tried to call the man, but ended up going inside the home to bring Robinson out.

Paramedics pronounced Robinson dead at the scene at 5:25 p.m., said Ed Winter, assistant chief of investigations for the coroner’s office.

The step-father, 64-year-old Keenan Wynn, was also found inside the home. Police said that he had shot himself in the torso and was also pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are looking into what caused Wynn to allegedly open fire on the two women.

Anyone with information is asked to call Long Beach Dets. Peter Lackovic and Sean Irving at (562) 570-7244. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
