Juan Carlos Castro Flores, a 50-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Monday, June 18, at 14748 Nelson Ave. E. in the City of Industry, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
Flores was working with framers at an industrial construction site about 9 a.m. when a man in a hard hat, dust mask and sunglasses walked up and began shooting, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Derrick Alfred.
“He [the gunman] blended in with the other construction workers,” Alfred said. “He was asking around for where the framers were. People kept saying ‘I don’t know,’ but eventually he found the victim and shot him multiple times.”
Flores, a resident of Colton, was shot twice in the chest and pronounced dead at the scene at 9:36 a.m., according to coroner’s records. The cause of death was listed as multiple gunshot wounds. ...
