Jarrid Wayne Hurst, a 35-year-old white male, died Sunday, June 7, after being shot by law enforcement near Railroad Street & South Azusa Avenue in Industry, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Juan Carlos Castro Flores, a 50-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Monday, June 18, at 14748 Nelson Ave. E. in the City of Industry, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
Flores was working with framers at an industrial construction site about 9 a.m. when a man in a hard hat, dust mask and sunglasses walked up and began shooting, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Derrick Alfred.
“He [the gunman] blended in with the other construction workers,” Alfred said. “He was asking around for where the framers were. People kept saying ‘I don’t know,’ but eventually he found the victim and shot him multiple times.”
Flores, a resident of Colton, was shot twice in the chest and pronounced dead at the scene at 9:36 a.m., according to coroner’s records. The cause of death was listed as multiple gunshot wounds.

Sandra Ann Clohecy, a 42-year-old white female, died Monday, June 11, after sustaining blunt force trauma near Pomona Freeway & Fullerton Road in Industry, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Katy Ann Nosic, a 27-year-old white woman, was shot and killed Monday, Sept. 4, in the 17600 block of Castleton Street in the City of Industry, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
Nosic had just finished her shift at the Golden Corral restaurant, 17635 Castleton St., where she had started working three weeks earlier as a baker in training, according to a statement from the restaurant.
About 10:23 p.m., Nosic walked outside to a waiting car when another vehicle drove up and a person got out with a gun, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Joe Mendoza said. The person shot Nosic multiple times in the torso and then got back in the car and drove away in a light-colored van or SUV, Mendoza said.
Nosic, a resident of La Puente, was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:45 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

Victor Gonzales, a 23-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Wednesday, July 26, on Clark Avenue at Ridley Avenue in Hacienda Heights, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
The incident began early that afternoon, when Gonzales was home with other family members in the 15500 block of Ladysmith Street in Hacienda Heights, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Joe Mendoza.
Gonzales, his brother and another relative were in the front yard when a white sedan drove by and the people inside yelled something at them, Mendoza said.
“There was a little disturbance and the car leaves,” Mendoza said. “Then sometime later — it’s unclear how much time elapsed — the three men from the Ladysmith house were in a car, driving eastbound on Clark Avenue.”
When the Gonzales car got to Ridley Avenue, it made contact with the same white sedan, and a car-to-car shooting ensued, Mendoza said.

Xavier Gonzalez-Torres, a 30-year-old Latino, was shot and killed by sheriff deputies Saturday, May 12, in the 15500 block of Stafford Street in Industry, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Deputies had responded to a call of a carjacking in La Puente. Moments later, deputies spotted the car, a white Dodge Charger, on Temple Avenue in La Puente, and a short chase ensued.
The chase ended in the 15500 block of Stafford Street, across the street from the sheriff’s station in the City of Industry, said sheriff’s Lt. Kimberly Unland.
The driver, later identified as Gonzalez-Torres, got out of the vehicle and fired a handgun at the deputies, who returned fire.
Gonzalez-Torres was struck by the gunfire and pronounced dead. A weapon was recovered at the scene, Unland said.

Jose Ignacio Quirino, a 55-year-old Latino male, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, after sustaining blunt force trauma in Industry, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Evelyn Dominguez, a 28-year-old Latina, was shot to death Wednesday, June 2, in the 12200 block of Rooks Road in the City of Industry, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Pico Rivera Station deputies along with paramedics responded to a "person down" call about 5:35 a.m., according to a news release from the Sheriff's Department.
When authorities arrived, they found Dominguez suffering from several gunshot wounds to the upper torso, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dominguez was clothed and wearing white socks, but no shoes, according to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune. The paper also reported that San Bernardino County court records show Dominguez had a $25,000 arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on an April 2009 charge for possession of drug paraphernalia.

An unidentified Latino man was found dead of a single gunshot wound to his chest in the 3200 block of Gilman Road about 9:20 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28.
Sheriff's deputies were patrolling a large concert at the Gilman Horse Ranch when they heard gunshots and began searching the area, said Deputy Byron Ward of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. They found the man, who was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

Bernardo Mendoza, 44, a Latino man, was shot in a bar at 129 Workman Road in the Bassett neighborhood of La Puente at about 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, and died at the scene. A woman and two other men were seriously wounded in this shooting but are expected to survive.
Mendoza was a hard-working family man who was a random murder victim, said Sheriff's Lt. Dan Rosenberg. He was one of the patrons that night at a small, local haunt called "My Place," a bar that has long catered to a Latino clientele in that area.
