Brian Anthony Bullard, a 30-year-old Black male, died Monday, Jan. 31, after being shot near 3208 Oakwood Ave. in Lynwood, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Celestino Romero-Sanchez, a 35-year-old Latino male, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, after being shot near 11694 Atlantic Ave. in Lynwood, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Mike Rudy Contreras, a 52-year-old Latino male, died Thursday, Nov. 11, after being shot near 3186 Euclid Ave. in Lynwood, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Ifrain Araque Jr., a 23-year-old Latino male, died Friday, Feb. 12, after being shot near 3190 Euclid Ave. in Lynwood, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Jose Luis Estrada, a 54-year-old Latino male, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, after being shot near Across from 3630 E. Imperial Hwy in Lynwood, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Levar Mathews, a 42-year-old Black male, died Monday, Nov. 16, after being shot near 12725 Atlantic Ave. in Lynwood, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Erik Ben Daniel, a 41-year-old Latino male, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, after being shot near 3548 Brenton Ave. in Lynwood, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Elias Alejandre, a 35-year-old Latino male, died Wednesday, July 8, after being shot near 12400 Long Beach Blvd. in Lynwood, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Robert Bueno, a 32-year-old Latino male, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, after being shot near the 11100 block of Duncan Avenue in Lynwood, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Juan Carlos Rosales Gonzalez, a 40-year-old Latino male, died Friday, Sept. 20, after being shot near 10900 Long Beach Blvd. in Lynwood, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Jesus Garcia, a 42-year-old Latino male, died Friday, Aug. 2, after being shot near 10206 State St. in Lynwood, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Pablo Garcia, a 42-year-old Latino male, died Tuesday, May 21, after being shot in Lynwood, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Brooke Lavon Jackson, a 40-year-old black woman, was fatally stabbed on Friday, Oct. 26, in the 4200 block of Carlin Avenue in Lynwood, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records. 

Deputies were called to the home where Jackson lived with her husband, Dennis Ray Jackson, 47, and their two children around 8:44 a.m., according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Rodney Moore. 

Investigators found Jackson in her bedroom with multiple stab wounds, Moore said. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:57 a.m., according to coroner’s records. 

Her husband was found inside his car, which was parked in the driveway, with a gunshot wound to the head, said Det. Marcelo Quintero. He was also pronounced dead at the scene at 8:53 a.m., according to coroner’s records. His death was ruled a suicide.

Jason Zapata, a 19-year-old Latino, was fatally shot on Thursday, Oct. 25, in the 11800 block of Louise Avenue in Lynwood, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records. 

Investigators believe Zapata and his companion, Jonathan Flores, 24, drove to the south end of Louise Avenue, a cul-de-sac that butts up against the southwest section of the 105 and 710 freeways interchange, to meet someone shortly after 1 p.m., said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Derrick Alfred. 

The two were in Zapata’s car, a gold-colored, 1990s Mercedes Benz. Investigators believe Zapata was driving and Flores was the front seat passenger, Alfred said. 

Deputies were called to the scene at 1:29 p.m. regarding a gunshot victim. Witnesses reported coming outside when they heard gunfire and seeing a light-colored sedan racing away, with three people inside.

Zapata was found lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the head, Alfred said. …
