Albert Novshadyan, 20

Albert Novshadyan, identified by the coroner's office as a 20-year-old white man, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, three days after he was assaulted at the Twin Towers Jail in the 400 block of Bauchet Street in Los Angeles, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Novshadyan was an inmate at the time of his death.

He was critically hurt during a fight Feb. 25, Los Angeles County sheriff's officials said. He was taken to a hospital, where he died several days later.

Coroner's records show the victim was beaten by an inmate and suffered severe head trauma.

Sheriff's homicide Det. Ron Duval said the investigation was ongoing, and officials hope to charge someone in connection with the death in the next week.
