Jorge Alvarado, an 18-year-old Latino, died on June 10, two days after he was shot in the 900 block of North Watson Avenue in Wilmington, according to L.A. County coroner’s records.
Alvarado was driving southbound on Watson Avenue on June 8 around 7:20 p.m. when he passed another vehicle, said LAPD Det. Julie Scruggs. A person in that vehicle fired several rounds, Scruggs said, causing Alvarado to crash into a parked car.
Alvarado died on June 10 at 7:58 a.m., according to coroner's records.
