Andre Deon Jones, 42

Andre Jones, a 42-year-old black man, was fatally shot Thursday, May 31, in the 14000 block of Parmelee Avenue in Compton, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Jones was standing in front of his house when a gang shooting occurred across the street, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office.

During the shooting, Jones was hit, Winter said. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:51 p.m.

A 27-year-old man was also injured during the shooting, but his condition was unknown, officials said.
