Arthur Kenneth Lucas, 24
Arthur Kenneth Lucas, a 24-year-old black man, was fatally shot Thursday, Aug. 29, in the 600 block of West 5th Street in San Pedro, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
About 6:15 p.m., Lucas and two male passengers in their early 20s were in a black Nissan Maxima at a busy intersection waiting for a light to turn green, LAPD Det. Matt Maffei said.
Two people walked up to the car and shot at the occupants multiple times, Maffei said.
Lucas was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead at 7:08 p.m., said coroner’s spokesman Ed Winter.
The other two men are in stable condition.
