Cathy Gustaveson, a 31-year-old white woman, was found strangled in the 1600 block of West Slauson Avenue in Harvard Park on April 15, 1985.
Authorities did not provide additional information about this incident. They did describe her death as among the slayings believed to be connected to an unidentified serial killer operating in the South L.A. area.
