Darryl Leon Ross, 53
Darryl Leon Ross, a 53-year-old black man, was found fatally wounded Sunday, Feb. 2, in the 600 block of New York Drive in Pomona, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Officers responded to the area about 7 a.m. after a motorist reported an injured man in a parking lot, according to the Pomona Police Department.
Ross had been shot several times and was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:19 a.m., according to police and coroner's records.
About 2:45 a.m., people working in the 1900 block of West Orange Grove heard several gunshots but did not report them because they thought police would get other calls, according to the department.
