Alcides Gonzalez Ramirez, a 22-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Sunday, Jan. 15, near Glenroy Street and Poppy Lane in Pomona, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Ramirez was at a party about 12:32 a.m. when he was shot several times.
Authorities were called and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another person was also shot, Winter said. The victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.
