Iran Francisco Maese, a 35-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Sunday, June 28, in the 700 block of Linden Avenue in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Long Beach police officers responded to a call about a shooting victim at 11:30 p.m. and found Maese on an apartment staircase with multiple gunshot wounds in his upper body, according to a news release from the Long Beach Police Department.

Officers began life-saving measures until Long Beach Fire Department paramedics arrived. The paramedics pronounced Maese dead at the scene at 11:53 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

Maese was homeless, according to coroner’s records. No suspect information is available and the motive for the shooting is unknown.

According to Coroner's records what records could the coroner possibly have before he arrived at the scene to do his job? I mean did he have some file on Iran that stated this man is homeless? how or why would he come to this decision To assume such a thing is not only hurtful, but also demeaning. Like he was a looser or asked for this why because he thought he did live in a home. He didn't even know who Iran was when the first article came out or his age mid 20s not try 35 yrs old. was he dressed in tattered clothing or dirty. his hands finger nails appeared not kept up or was is unshaven NO NO NO so once again lets get out facts correct. its like verify your facts one o one. he lived with me for 4 years worked and was moving to a second home we have in Palm Springs. Plus he had a family that was right there in LB. he was wearing new clothes just had his hair cut and bought new shoes. So please what records say he was homeless. And despite the pain you've caused his family and loved ones saying such disrespectful untrue and demeaning and that your knowing full well after several people corrected you at the very start you still continue to keep it up .Just write another update you were mistaken. Is that such a hard thing for you to do. Or anyone else writing or reporting the story. Your are wrong he was not a legal resident even though he was raised in the states before he could walk. the paper work to correct his situation was in process. Thats the truth of it. Not homeless got it. End of story. If you can prove otherwise with your " records " the prove it If not correct it or then stop it. You need to learn facts before having people believe what you say. enough is enough........... This is not a personal attack please understand this. Its a correction that one should be held accountable for. Thats all.
