Israel Joseph Luna, 17
Israel Luna, a 17-year-old Latino, died Friday, Oct. 23, after he was stabbed in the 5000 block of Whittier Boulevard, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies were called about 11:10 p.m., said Lt. Steve Jauch. They found Luna lying in the street, next to the curb, with a stab wound in his upper torso, Jauch said.
The block where Luna was stabbed is in a business area, with thrift stores, discount stores, fast-food restaurants and a medical clinic.
Luna was taken to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 11:49 p.m., according to coroner's records.
Jauch said investigators don't have any suspect information, nor a motive.
