October 10th, today would have been Joel's 33rd birthday. We would have laughed about all the silly things that have happened to us. We could have put aside all our disagreements/arguments and embraced the wisdom that comes with age.
He was a great brother, lost to the dynamics that play out on a daily basis in big cities.
Just a month before he was murdered, we had traveled to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. He said he'd never seen anything like it and now dreamed of traveling the world to see all of its wonders.
I miss him dearly, there are so many things I never got to say to him and there are so many things we will never get to do together.
