John Charles Duft, 70
John Charles Duft, a 70-year-old white man, was shot and killed Saturday, May 25 in the 5600 block of Magda Street in Palmdale, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
Duft and his son exchanged gunfire about 7:40 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The shooting followed an unspecified altercation, the department said.
Duft was taken to a hospital, where he died at 10:27 p.m., coroner’s records show.
The gunman, 39, was in critical but stable condition.
