Jorge Gustavo Garcia, 52

Jorge Garcia, a 52-year-old Latino, died Saturday, April 2, in the 8900 block of Gallatin Road in Pico Rivera, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Sheriff's deputies responded to a 911 call about 11:30 p.m. and found the bodies of Garcia and his 79-year old mother, Martha Garcia.

One of Garcia's brothers, who was not identified by police, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly attacking another brother, who had called 911. The wounded brother, who also was not identified by police, was treated at a hospital.

Jorge Garcia sustained blunt-force trauma wounds and his mother had been stabbed, authorities said.
