Jorge Lorenzo, a 19-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Sunday, Nov. 7, in the 400 block of Westlake Avenue in Westlake, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Lorenzo was driving a Mercury van about 1:50 a.m. when he and a pedestrian allegedly exchanged gunshots, according to Los Angeles police.

Wounded by the gunfire, Lorenzo drove away and collided with another vehicle nearby. He continued on for a bit and then abandoned the van on Park Avenue. He was found by two people who took him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Officials said the shooting, believed to be gang-related, remains under investigation. Authorities did not release the name of the injured pedestrian who sustained a minor wound in the leg and was treated at a hospital.

Dayum babe I just couldnt belive it when they told me u have gotten shot I was going crazy not knowing nothing abt u me and ur mom were looking for u babe I called every hospital we were waiting on the detectives call cuz they had found a body I was praying bby wishing all this was a dream n wishing it was u ur mom got the call that confirm that it was u I couldnt blive it babe I just couldnt I started going crazy screaming with my face covered in tears its been 4months since u left babe n I still cant accept the fact that ur gone u left me full of unforgetable n lovely memories but the most precious thing u left me is our daughter that looks just like u theres not a day or night that I dnt cry for u baby this pain is killing me and just how I was there for u when u were here with me I will still be there for u babe taking our daughter to visit u...i see ur grave n I still cant blive it bby I stand infront of ur grave asking for an impossible return november 17 2010,was ur viewing there I was with ur mom next to ur coffin 9 hours standing by ur side for the last time telling u babe dnt leave me jorge bby come back come back I kissed u talked to u but I will cry more n more becuz I knew u werent gunna respond to anything november 18 2010 was the day they burried u there I was destroyed they opened ur coffin for the last time before u were put into ur resting place then the harder thing came seeing ur coffin go down little by little I got closer to ur coffin babe I was holding on to it didnt wanna let go I went crazy I said many times jorge baby dnt leave me me n ur daughter need u come back plz come back!
