Julio Gutierrez, 19

Julio Gutierrez, a 19-year-old Latino, died Friday, April 13, five days after he was shot in the 900 block of West Fremont Street in Pomona, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Gutierrez was discovered shot April 8 about 3:45 a.m.

People in a residential neighborhood heard a single gunshot and called 911. Authorities arrived and found Gutierrez down on a front yard.

He was taken to a hospital where he died five days later from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Winter had no other information about the case.
