Kendrick Blackmon, 22

Kendrick Blackmon, a 22-year-old black man, was shot and killed Saturday, April 21, in the 10000 block of South San Pedro Street in Broadway-Manchester, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Blackmon was in a car about 1:35 a.m. when he was shot.

Authorities were called and the victim was taken to Harbor UCLA Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 2:09 a.m.

According to coroner's records, the victim died from a gunshot wound to the upper right cheek.
