Kevin Francis Hirtle, 38
Kevin Hirtle, a 38-year-old white man, was stabbed to death Thursday, Feb. 24, near Ocean Front Walk at Westminster Avenue in Venice, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Hirtle got into a fight with Billy Young, a 23-year-old white man, about 6 p.m. and was stabbed with a knife several times, according to a Los Angeles Police Department news release.
The victim was taken by paramedics to a Marina Del Rey hospital, where he later died, coroner's records show.
Police said after the attack that Young tried to flee, but was caught by patrol officers several blocks away from the incident.
Young has since been booked on suspicion of murder and is being held in lieu of $1-million bail.
