Lakeia Brown, 17

Lakeia Brown, a 17-year-old black teenager, died Saturday, Jan. 10, in Pasadena, according to the Los Angeles County coroner.

According to coroner's records, a physician had ignored two court orders to treat Brown, described as a foster child with psychiatric problems. Her death appeared to be related to possible complications from an intravenous line that showed signs of infection.

Her case was listed as a homicide by the coroner.

@ child advocate...since you are so familiar with HIPPA laws you should know that if you do not work directly with a client or had no contact with a client that you cannot under any circumstances have any moral or ethical charges brought against you....I will not have this comment removed because maybe in her death others (i.e, CSW, Judges, Doctors, and even the clients themselves) can learn from this tragedy...so many of you so called advocates advocate for the wrong thing....where were you when the kids in juvenile halls were being abused?...you were sitting behind your computer doing nothing...I fight for the rights of my clients at all times and their information is confidential at all times....know your job before you tell me how to do mines....THANK YOU!!!!
