Latorria Westbrook, 26
Latorria Westbrook, a 26-year-old black woman, was fatally wounded Friday, July 19, in the 500 block of West 95th Street in Vermont Vista, according to L.A. County coroner’s records.
Westbrook was walking from a store to see some friends at 11:37 p.m. and stopped to talk to people, said Los Angeles Police Det. Supervisor Rick Gordon.
A car pulled alongside her and a gunman fired several shots, Gordon said.
She died on the sidewalk at 11:55 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
Gordon said Westbrook did not have any gang ties. He said at least two people were in the car, which was described as a lighter-colored sedan.
