Leonardo Gabriel Ramirez, 17

Leonardo Gabriel Ramirez, a 17-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Saturday, May 23, near North Virgil and Burns avenues in East Hollywood, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 12:32 a.m., Ramirez was standing on the corner when a person walked up to him and shot him, said LAPD Det. Ray Martinez. The gunman fled west on Burns Avenue.

It is very sad what happen to this kid he was 17,
I was born and raised around here and it isn't easy. This kid went to school and was not known as a trouble maker. That guy Insider said he was a gang member and well you see his teachers comment above it is very rare a 17 year old in school is a gang member so I doubt it he was a very good kid like I said never a problem and I am a city council member and on the Hollywood board of trust my member number is as followed #A1KPG you may check or yourselves. The truth is this kid he was an upstanding citizen although young he went to school against many odds. There is a lot of temptation and obstacles l just to make it to class when you live in this area, He managed to do it everyday, where most kids around her just give up and stop going. He wanted something out of life he wanted to be someone and do something. He didn't want to be a statistic and here he is due to the ignorance of people who have nothing better to do, Why did these cowards shoot him were they scared too fight? But why any of it all in the 1st place he was minding his own business. A terrible waste this young man offered his help when ever he could to anyone any time he will be very sadly missed!
