Louis A. Watson, a 18-year-old black male, died Wednesday, April 29, after being shot in Vermont Square, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Louis was a cool guy. He and a few friends were actually at his house watching all of the violence taking place on tv. Around 8pm they all left his house to walk a young female to the bus stop to make sure she safely got on the bus. Shortly while waiting on the 204 0r 354 bus to come a car came westbound off of Vernon and turned right on to Vermont and fired shots out of its car. Many still say that it was undercover police that did it to incite anger and war between gangs in the area. Not understanding that many of them were getting along during this time. There were many people at the stop and there were no signs of any gangsters there. Louis was loved by many different people and never use to create problems. He was actually a role model to younger boys in his area. He was the average 18 year old and was not a gangster. He was basically killed for doing the right thing and that was making sure the young lady was safe because he cared.
