A 25-year-old white homeless man was discovered partially buried in the sand near Ocean Front Walk and Breeze Avenue by L.A. City Park and Recreation employees at about 7 p.m. Sunday, March 9.

According to police, the man was beaten to death, then dragged to the burial site. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Pacific Area Homicide (310) 482-6316

Updated on August 21, 2009: A previous version of this post incorrectly gave the number for Pacific Area Homicide as (310) 782-6316. Authorities later said the victim, identified as Nathan Alan Morgan, 25, of Portland, Ore., was discovered about 8 a.m. on Monday, March 10.

I spoke with a homeless man outside there that walks around with his rolling suitcase most of those days for about 2 years, I saw him often sitting at the coffee shop. He went up and down the boardwalk every day pulling his suitcase. He told me that he heard a group of young satanists sitting there every day on the hillside at the murder chanting to ask Satan to give them a sign about who to murder. He also told me he was familiar with the fact they came there once a year to do a killing and he tried to tell the police they were there but they didn't believe him. Nathan Morgan was buried in the sand with his dog, right at the spot of a boardwalk street musician working there daily named Nathan who is one of the biggest dog lover I've ever met and animal rights activist. I did not used to believe devil worshippers were anything but creeps before that. Now I think they have had some kind of demonic power.
